The Jolles House scheme is transforming the area with new affordable homes, green spaces and play areas.
Features of the scheme include:
- 70 new homes: 13 social rent and 57 shared ownership. These are being created on the site where Jolles House (which contained 12 flats), the adjacent garages and the disused Blue Anchor pub used to stand.
- Green spaces: Extensive landscaping to the surrounding area, including new trees, plants, paving, courtyards and an open lawn.
- Play areas: Climbing walls, chess equipment, table tennis and a basketball hoop.
Works are currently taking place on site, and are expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The Shared Ownership homes are expected to be launched for sale in Summer 2020.
