Each of our ten estates has a Board made up of residents
Estate Boards meet to discuss local issues including antisocial behaviour, estate cleaning, housing and community activities and other ways to improve the area. They also give us valuable feedback on our services.
Being on an Estate Board is a great way to represent the views of your local community, meet your neighbours and help deliver community projects.
All residents can join the board, and new members are always welcome!

What is an Estate Board?
Estate Boards are made up of Poplar HARCA residents who act as a voice for the local community.
What does an Estate Board do?
Estate Boards work closely with Poplar HARCA to identify and tackle issues raised by the local community, such as Housing, Antisocial Behaviour, Caretaking and Estate Maintenance. They also help run community events and activities.

How is an Estate Board run?
Members of each Estate Board (including a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson) represent the views and interests of Poplar HARCA residents. They are governed by a set of rules that outlines the aims and objectives of the Board and how it is run.
Who can join an Estate Board?
To join an Estate Board, applicants must:
Be over 16 years of age
Live in a Poplar HARCA property
Not be a member of a household where two others are already Estate Board Members
Not live in a block/street where four other households are already Estate Board Members
Not have a breach of tenancy or lease that has, or could, result in a legal notice being served (e.g. being in rent or service charge arrears)
