She has worked for several of the G15 housing associations on initiatives which provide higher quality customer services. She also worked with local authorities, architects and local people to design urban master plans for inner London neighbourhood regeneration and estate renewal projects.

Now working for a city based company, Melanie joined the Services Committee because she is a passionate supporter of affordable housing, seeing it as a cornerstone in giving people opportunities in their lives and shaping local communities.
