New Government safety advice means additional fire risk assessments have to be carried out on buildings over 18m tall (usually 5 or more storeys) with some form of combustible cladding or combustible material on balconies, and blocks less than 18m tall with specific concerns.
These assessments are known as External Wall Assessment 1 forms (EWS1).
