A new dedicated phone line offers support for Poplar and Bow residents who need to self-isolate because of Covid-19.
The Covid and Isolation Community Support Hub (Bow and Poplar), run by Poplar HARCA staff and local volunteers, can help with:
- Shopping
- Collection of medication
- Welfare benefits advice
- Foodbank assistance
- Befriending
If you live in Poplar or Bow and need help or advice with any difficulties while you stay at home:

Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm
You need to self-isolate if you:
- Test positive for Covid-19
- Live in the same household as someone who has tested positive for Covid-19
- Experience symptoms of Covid-19 and are in the process of arranging a test
- Are contacted by NHS Test and Trace and informed that you have been in recent close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19
- Arrive in England from a country that requires you to self-isolate
Arranging a test
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19:
- A new or continuous cough
- A high temperature
- A change in or loss of you sense of taste or smell
You must self-isolate immediately and arrange a test at nhs.co.uk/coronavirus or call 119
